Lake County Nursing and
Rehabilitation Center
Again, this year as in the past 3 years,during the Christmas holidays, we spend an afternoon with the patients at the Center. Singing Christmas songs and etc. Each patience received a gift bags with personnel hygiene items. The patients and the staff, and our organization enjoyed the celebration with each year.
HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS
On December 27, 2011 we took 45 kids from the Calumet area to see the Harlem Globetrotters at the Hammond Civic Center. The children really had a good time, they were so excited.
Next year we plan on having more activities and outings for the kids.
2011 SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT
Rodney Carpenter Jr. received $1000.00 scholarship. He played varsity football and the cameraman for varsity boys basketball team at Central High School. He’s attending IUPUI earning a secondary degree. He believe that education should be pursed and he intend to do so. He tell the children “life is like a box of chocolates you never know what you are going to get”. He plan on being someone who impacts the world.
